There was a lot to be happy about for head coach Topex Robinson as the DLSU Green Archers sealed their slot in the UAAP Season 87 Final Four after beating Adamson, 70-45, in their second round encounter on Saturday, October 19.

Even as the ever-reliable Kevin Quiambao continued to show up for Robinson and the Green Archers, other players also came out of the woodwork in their dominating win over the Soaring Falcons.

Players like Josh David, Henry Agunanne, Raven Gonzales, and CJ Austria all chipped in at least six points in the convincing victory that nailed La Salle back-to-back appearances in the Final Four.

As the race for the title begins to heat up, Robinson needs each player from top to bottom to come up big for the defending champions.

“[I] guess again, these young men did what they’re supposed to do and that’s competing with one of the best programs with coach Nash [Racela] there. We still have a lot of work to do. They just stepped up and I love for other guys stepping up just like the regulars,” said Robinson.

It didn’t take long for La Salle to establish its might over the reeling Soaring Falcons, as the Green Archers used a second frame where they outscored Adamson, 25-11, to run away with the ball game by the halftime break, 42-22.

Robinson said that he also made his team aware of the history behind the venue at the UST QPav, which seemed to have successfully inspired his players to one of their biggest wins of the year.

“We reminded the team before the game that you’re stepping on sacred ground with the most successful program in UAAP history here at UST,” he said.

La Salle is sizzling at the moment after the champs extended their win streak to six games.

Meanwhile, Adamson is reeling at 3-6 after having lost four in a row.
