The UAAP Season 85 high school boys basketball tournament is finally back after a three-year hiatus and already making a name for himself is John Rey or JR Pasaol.

JR, the younger brother of Meralco Bolts forward Alvin Pasaol, has been leading the charge for the Baby Tamarraws who are still undefeated in Season 85, so far.

Earlier today, the younger Pasaol scored a career high 27 points as FEU defeated the UE Junior Warriors 116-80.

Prior to that, Pasaol was the main catalyst for the Baby Tamarraws as they dominated the Ateneo Blue Eaglets, 85-50. Pasaol finished with 14 points, 6 assists, and 5 rebounds in that game.

While Alvin may the bruiser type of scorer, JR is known for his booming triples and acrobatic layups. But if there’s one takeaway from this, it’s that the Pasaol’s are born scorers.

Some might have already forgotten that Alvin established himself as a star player with the UE Red Warriors by setting the UAAP record for most points scored in a single game with 49, but now, it is John Rey's turn to make a name for himself and create his own legacy.
