It was a welcome break for The Phenom after all the basketball-related activities lately.
Kiefer Ravena has a lot to be happy about these days. His career in the Japan B.League is prospering. He recently reunited with his former teammates with the NLEX Road Warriors. He’s playing in an alumni league with his former teammates with the Ateneo Blue Eagles. He’s once again part of the pool of Gilas Pilipinas for the FIBA World Cup. But perhaps most importantly, he looks happy.
Very happy. And quite possibly, deeply inspired.
On Thursday, he posted on his Instagram Stories a couple of pictures from his date night with his girlfriend Kholeen Ortiz. It was a much-deserved respite for the veteran guard amid all the basketball he’s been doing.
Gilas Pilipinas just wrapped up its training camp at Inspire Sports Academy in Calamba, Laguna, where Ravena and other members of the national pool were cooped up for several days just eating, thinking, and breathing basketball.
So, spending quality time with his loved one must’ve felt like a warm hug for The Phenom after an exhausting training camp.
The 29-year-old Ravena has remained relatively private about his relationship with Ortiz, so his latest posts must’ve been a treat for his fans.
But their date night was just a short respite for Ravena, as he would soon be back on the grind again with Gilas Pilipinas. The team, which left Manila tonight, will embark on a trip to Europe for another training camp, starting in Estonia.
Hopefully, Ravena's luggage won't be overweight with inspiration.
