The Gilas Pilipinas wingman’s one true love?
Philippine basketball has definitely felt the impact that Thirdy Ravena has made. He is a three-time UAAP Finals MVP with as many championships and he’s a member of the historic Ateneo Blue Eagles team that went 16-0 in Season 82. On top of it all, Thirdy was the first player from the Philippines to suit up as an Asian import in the Japan B.League. A true pioneer.
Of course, all that would not have been possible had he not prioritized basketball above everything else. Spending countless hours working on his craft, one might wonder how much of his personal life has been sacrificed. Well, on Wednesday night, while training with Gilas Pilipinas in China, the San-en NeoPhoenix star went on Instagram to celebrate an occasion known as National Girlfriends Day.
On his IG post, Thirdy insinuated that he is currently in a flourishing relationship with none other than the game. The photo showed the 26-year-old playmaker holding up a ball along with a caption.
“National Girlfriend’s Day,” it read.
What’s next, wedding bells? Will he make things official and get married to the game? Kidding aside, the work Ravena has been putting in has been nothing short of impressive. After everything he’s accomplished, Thirdy is still at it. At the moment, his passion burns for a Gilas team that’s in the final stages of its preparation for the FIBA World Cup.
Wait, why was he holding a ball that’s from the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague? Was he sending a different message all along? Noooooooo.
