Kai Sotto plays the game of his life as the B-Corsairs snap a 12-game winning streak for the Chiba Jets.
Kai Sotto is definitely in the groove now.
The 7’3” Filipino center reset his career-high Sunday, scoring points 26 points in a big 90-85 overtime win by the Yokohama B-Corsairs over the Chiba Jets.

Sotto also grabbed 11 rebounds, making it back-to-back double-doubles for Yokohama and three straight double-digit rebounding games. 11 rebounds are a season-high for Kai, while his 27 minutes and 32 seconds of court time are a new career-high.
Yokohama had the chance to win in regulation after Kai put the B-Corsairs up two, 77-75, with 2:18 to go.
Sotto would get his chance to close in overtime though, scoring six points. His lone field goal was a huge turnaround jumper with three minutes left to force an 81-all tie, then his perfect free throws with 14.9 seconds left sealed the victory.
Jarrod Uthoff scored 17 points to back up Kai, none bigger than his go-ahead three with 1:13 left in OT to make it 86-85 Yokohama. John Mooney led the way for the Jets with 25 points.
