Javi Gómez de Liaño finds a new home with the Anyang Jung Kwan Jang Red Boosters in the KBL
Weeks of speculation are over as Javi Gómez de Liaño is heading towards the Anyang Jung Kwan Jang Red Boosters in the Korean Basketball League (KBL), the team announced today, June 20.
After high-flying Rhenz Abando, Anyang KGC taps the former UP Fighting Maroon as their Asian import for the next season.

de Liaño surprised Philippine basketball after leaving Terrafirma at the end of Dyip’s surprising Philippine Cup playoff run.

The eighth-seeded Terrafirma dragged the eventual runners-up San Miguel Beermen to the limit after winning the opening game before folding in the next.
The 25-year-old forward averaged 16.4 points, 5.9 rebounds, and 1.9 assists per game in the All-Filipino tournament while shooting 39.7 percent from three on 1.6 makes per game.
Meanwhile, Anyang finished second to the last in the 2024 KBL season with an 18-36 record after winning the title back in 2023.
