Days after its exit in the PBA Season 49 Governors’ Cup quarterfinals, Meralco recovered its winning touch in the EASL.
Meralco put up a balanced attack in disposing of Macau, 97-85, in the East Asia Super League on Wednesday, Oct. 2.
Chris Newsome finished with 18 points he embellished with three rebounds, six assists and three steals for the Bolts.
Allen Durham also had a double-double with 17 points and 11 rebounds, while DJ Kennedy added an all-around outing of 17 points, nine rebounds and seven assists.

Meralco had no time to wallow in its quarterfinal exit in the PBA Season 49 Governors’ Cup just days ago as it jumped to the EASL with its first win in Group B.
Meanwhile, Jeantal Cylla paced the Black Bears with 23 points, seven rebounds, two assists and the same number of steals and blocks.
William Artino also impressed for Macau as he turned in 23 points and 14 rebounds.
