The Hong Kong-based squad aims to bounce back after barely missing the PBA Commissioner’s Cup title.
Barely losing Game 7 of the PBA Commissioner’s Cup Finals in front of a mammoth crowd must sting.
Bay Area arguably played their worst in the all-or-nothing match against the Barangay Ginebra Gin Kings and the Dragons are surely itching to bounce back.
They now have efficient fuel and motivation as they aim to dominate the incoming East Asia Super League season.
That will start with the pre-season tournament 2023 EASL Champions Week which will run from March 1-5.
In the mini tournament, Bay Area could potentially meet another PBA giant—the San Miguel Beermen. Although, that scenario will only happen if both squads make it to the Finals, or they both placed second in their respective groups and will play in the battle for third.
San Miguel will play in Group A with KBL runners-up Anyang KGC and Japan B.League second placers Ryukyu Golden Kings.
The Dragons are grouped with the TNT Tropang Giga but will only go against the Seoul SK Knights and the Utsunomiya Brex.
