Hergie Bacyadan has her golden ticket for Paris 2024 after scoring a unanimous decision win over Venezuela’s Maryelis Yriza in the women’s 75-kg category of the 2nd World Qualification Tournament in Thailand Sunday.
Bacyadan is the fifth Filipino boxer to earn a trip to the Olympics in Paris, joining Nesthy Petecio, Eumir Marcial, Aira Villegas, and Carlo Paalam, who got his own ticket from the same event Saturday.

Hergie is also the 15th member of the Philippine team set for Paris.
Aside from the five boxers, the Philippine team for Paris includes gymnasts Carlos Yulo, Aleah Finnegan, Emma Malabuyo, and Levi Jung-Ruivivar.
Also on the team are Joanie Delgaco for rowing, Sam Catantan for fencing, John Ceniza, Elreen Ando, and Vanessa Sarno for weightlifting, and world no. 2 EJ Obiena for pole vault.
