Good news for the star playmaker.
Things are looking up for NLEX Road Warriors guard Kevin Alas following his third ACL injury.
Although NLEX is languishing near the bottom of the standings in the PBA Commissioner's Cup, the latest news about Alas is a positive sign for the squad.
On Thursday, the veteran floor general shared on Instagram Story a huge update on his road to recovery.
"Praise God for a successful surgery," he wrote, as he shared a photo of him smiling while sitting in a wheelchair, his left leg lying straight due to a cast.
His wife, Selina Dagdag-Alas, was nothing but grateful as well.
"We have quieted our trembling hearts by looking back to the past. In every single one of our trials, the Lord has never failed us—and He is not about to start doing that now," she wrote.
"Alleluia, the Lord is good and faithful. In Him, we have found rest."
Without Alas, the Road Warriors have switched imports, bringing in Stokley Chaffee Jr. in lieu of Thomas Robinson, in a bid to change their fortunes in the PBA Commissioner's Cup. They currently have a 2-4 record.
They will face the Rain or Shine Elasto Painters this Friday at the PhilSports Arena.

Kevin and Selina have gone through trial after trial in their lives, such as the latter overcoming gestational trophoblastic neoplasia, a rare type of cancer. We sincerely hope they overcome this latest one.
Come back stronger, Kevin!
