Paul Lee admitted he didn’t know who he’s up against in the PBA All-Star’s Three-Point Shootout in Bacolod.

Well, the 35-year-old didn’t feel the need to.

Lee bared it would only become an additional pressure as he defends his title on Saturday, March 23.

“Wala akong idea (kung sino kalaban). Mas okay na lang 'yun. Kasi baka mamaya 'pag nakita ko baka dagdag pressure pa sakin,” he said.

Going for his throne are veterans Marcio Lassiter and James Yap, who won the side event twice already. Also competing are Calvin Oftana, Chris Newsome, Maverick Ahanmisi, Arvin Tolentino, Robbie Herndon, as well as Alec Stockton, Andrei Caracut, and Javi Gomez de Liano.

Ken Tuffin will compete in injured Phoenix teammate Tyler Tio’s stead.

In the face of a competitive field, Lee said he will go out there and do what he does best: shoot.

After all, it’s the same mentality Milwaukee Bucks’ star Damian Lillard brought with him when he successfully defended his NBA Three-Point Contest crown.

“Siguro gagawin ko lang ginawa ni Lillard. Pumunta lang dun ang nag-compete. 'Di ko ipe-pressure sarili ko,” said Lee, who also won the All-Star Game MVP last year after draining seven four-pointers.

“Kasi kung nag-work sa kanya, malay natin mag work din satin. Alam mo yun? Just go there and compete lang.”
