NLEX Road Warriors reached out to communities in the north to hold basketball clinics and more.
While in the thick of preparations for the upcoming PBA Season 49, NLEX made sure to find time to give back to the northern communities.
The Road Warriors carried on with their "Dayo" and "Adopt-a-Court" projects in hopes of fostering the youth’s love for basketball in far-flung places.
“'Dayo' and 'Adopt-a-Court' aim to unite the north and inspire the youth through our team and sports in general,” said NLEX president Luigi Bautista in a press release.

After a surprise visit to Bulacan University, the NLEX dropped by San Jose, Nueva Ecija to hold the third leg of its Dayo series.
“We believe that by bringing the Road Warriors closer to the communities, we can foster a sense of belonging and pride among our fans in North Luzon, Bautista said.

As part of its "Adopt-a-Court" program, the team also opened the first NLEX Road Warriors-inspired basketball court in Barangay Dulong Malabon in Pulilan, Bulacan.
Led by Bulacan native and NLEX cager Dominick Fajardo, the Road Warriors also conducted a basketball clinic where they shared basketball fundamentals that will go a long way in the kids' development as players.
“Sinong mag-aakala na mula sa pagiging student-athlete, makakahanap ako ng oportunidad sa NLEX Corporation na nagbukas ng pinto [sa akin] para makapaglaro sa PBA?” said Fajardo.

“Ang aking kuwento ay patunay na ang sipag, tiyaga at suporta ng komunidad ay magdadala sa'yo sa tagumpay."
With new coach Jong Uichico and team manager Virgil Villavicencio, the Road Warriors are gearing up for the upcoming season-opening Governors’ Cup.
It is hoped that Uichico could lead NLEX to deep playoff runs and, perhaps, a championship.
