Felix Lemetti and Francis Escandor will join a youthful Rain or Shine squad that has shown significant progress in the past PBA season.
Felix Lemetti and Francis Escandor are now officially Rain or Shine Elasto Painters.
This after the Elasto Painters on Friday, July 19, signed the two rookies, with the first-round pick Lemetti inking a three-year deal with the squad.
Lemetti was a surprise pick by the team at eighth overall, with coach Yeng Guiao describing him as a “true point guard” that knows how to command the team.

“Si Felix Lemetti, we felt that he had potential. Noong nakita namin siya sa practice, sabi namin, baka puwedeng magamit sa team,” Guiao said of the 25-year-old cager.

“He’s a true point guard, solid point guard. He can score. At the same time, he can command 'yung team niya. We’re looking for somebody like that.”
Meanwhile, Escandor, the former UAAP champion with La Salle, agreed to a one-year contract with Rain or Shine.
The squad selected Escandor at first in the second round or 13th overall.
The two will reinforce the Elasto Painters' youth revolution that has seen significant progress in the previous season.

Behind youngsters like Adrian Nocum and Andrei Caracut, Rain or Shine cracked the recent Philippine Cup semifinals before bowing to eventual finalist San Miguel.
With Lemetti and Escandor now in the fold, things are only looking up for Rain or Shine.
