San Miguel MVP June Mar Fajardo will receive his third PBA Order of Merit from the PBA Press Corps.
The awards just keep coming for San Miguel’s June Mar Fajardo.
One more honor is slated for the Beermen superstar from PBA Season 48, as June Mar is also set to be presented with the Order of Merit at the 30th PBA Press Corps Awards Night.
The Order of Merit is awarded to the player with the most Player of the Week citations during a season. This will be Fajardo’s third time receiving the Order of Merit.
Last season, June Mar tied with NorthPort’s Arvin Tolentino and Phoenix’s Jason Perkins, each having two PBAPC-Pilipinas Live Player of the Week honors.
However, Fajardo received his citations during the Commissioner’s Cup semifinals (Jan. 24-28), and during SMB's Philippine Cup playoff run (May 15-19), giving him the edge.
This will be Fajardo’s third Order of Merit, following his wins in 2018 and 2019. TNT’s Jayson Castro won the citation last season.
