Instrumental in Meralco’s title conquest last season, Bong Quinto has earned the award which is the PBA Press Corps’ version of the Sixth Man of the Year plum.
Bong Quinto has slowly earned his stripes with Meralco in the PBA since being drafted in 2018.
The hard-working forward out of Letran has proven his worth once again as he is set to receive the Mr. Quality Minutes plum in the 30th PBA Press Corps Awards on September 24.
The event, presented by Cignal TV, is set at 7:30 p.m. at the Novotel Manila Araneta City.

Quinto bested San Miguel’s Jericho Cruz for the award given by the men and women covering the PBA beat after averaging 10.1 points, 3.4 rebounds, and 2.5 assists in 26 minutes for the Bolts last season.
He was also instrumental in Meralco capturing its first franchise title at the expense of the mighty Beermen in the Philippine Cup.
Meanwhile, the PBA Press Corps will also hand out the PBA Order of Merit and Scoring Champion honors to June Mar Fajardo and Robert Bolick, respectively.
Also being feted is the All-Rookie team composed of Stephen Holt, Cade Flores, Kenneth Tuffin, Kemark Carino, and Adrian Nocum.
