Justin Brownlee played the hero's role for Ginebra in its quick recovery against San Miguel in Game 3 of the PBA Season 49 Governors’ Cup semifinals.
Ginebra held off San Miguel, 99-94, to restore its early advantage in Game 3 of the PBA Season 49 Governors’ Cup semifinals on Sunday, Oct. 13.
The Gin Kings, losers in the previous overtime battle, 125-131, seized a 2-1 lead in the best-of-seven series at the Dasmarinas City Arena in Cavite.
Justin Brownlee delivered 30 points, nine rebounds, five assists and five blocks for Ginebra in halting the Beermen, who threatened to turn the tables in the final minutes.
Brownlee's biggest basket came with 20.9 seconds to go after the reinforcement crossed EJ Anosike and scored on a layup against San Miguel behemoth June Mar Fajardo for a 97-90 spread.
Backing up Brownlee is Japeth Aguilar, who collected 22 points, eight rebounds, three assists and a block, and Maverick Ahanmisi, whose free throws with 12.2 seconds to go sealed the match and capped his 15-point output.

Meanwhile, Anosike paced the Beermen with 32 points, 10 rebounds, three assists, a steal, and a block. CJ Perez scored 13 points.
Game 3 is set on Wednesday, Oct. 16, at the Smart Araneta Coliseum in Cubao.
