Glen Yang was nowhere in sight as Eastern dropped an 81-99 decision against Rain or Shine in the PBA Season 49 Commissioner’s Cup on Wednesday, Dec. 4.

Manalo told One Sports Yang is expected to rejoin the team within the week, hopefully before the team’s match against TNT two days later.
Without Yang, the guest team seemed in disarray, especially in the fourth period where the Elasto Painters pulled away.
After a nip-and-tuck three quarters, Rain or Shine slowly broke away in the fourth period behind import Deon Thompson, Santi Santillan, Keith Datu and Shaun Ildefonso.
The Hong Kong-based team, which arrived in Manila on Tuesday, Dec. 3, simply had nothing to riposte the Elasto Painters’ spirited rally.
The guest squad absorbed its first defeat after a 2-0 start to the mid-season conference.
Eastern takes on the Tropang Giga on Friday, Dec 6, at the same venue.
Match kicks off at 7:30 p.m.
