The Philippines is still waiting for Alohi's return.
Two years since her departure from the Philippines, former Cignal HD Spikers setter Alohi Robins-Hardy is taking her talents to the Czech Republic.
Local club VK Dukla Liberec announced the signing of the Filipino-American player on Instagram.
"Welcome to Dukla," the post said following a brief description of Alohi's playing career history.
Robins-Hardy, a 6-foot-3 setter, was supposed to be a staple in the Philippine volleyball scene and was even tapped to play for the national team. The cousin of Gilas Pilipinas legend Gabe Norwood even won the 2019 PSL All-Filipino Conference's Best Setter award.
Passport issues, however, hounded what could have been a colorful career in the Philippines.
In 2021, Robins-Hardy penned a goodbye message, but promised to be back.
"Playing for the Philippine flag is still a goal of mine," she said in a post dating back to July 2021.
After her stint in the Philippines, Robins-Hardy next played for French club Terville Florange before her recent commitment with the Czech team. Her former Cignal teammate Rachel Anne Daquis gave her support to Alohi.
