The Cargo Movers are looking to recover after a heartbreaking loss.
It was a case of almost but not quite for the F2 Logistics Cargo Movers when they faced the Creamline Cool Smashers in the PVL Invitational Conference on Thursday night.
The volleybelles in yellow and white were literally a point from securing the W in the fourth set. But the defending champions proved why they are the league's top team by forcing the decider.
In the final set, Creamline took the soul out of the Cargo Movers behind a killer 9-1 run. F2 Logistics managed to save three match points, but any hopes of a comeback were thwarted by a finishing kill from magic bunot Risa Sato.
Cargo Movers veteran spiker Myla Pablo admitted in the postgame presser that the Cargo Movers have a problem during fifth sets.
"Sa fifth super nara-rattle na naman kami," Pablo said.
F2 Logistics have played in three five-setters this conference so far, and they lost two of those.
For Pablo, it's a matter of communication.
"'Yun 'yung problema namin every game talaga, na parang hindi nagu-usap-usap."
With the PVL Invitational semifinals being a quick round-robin affair, Pablo is confident that the squad will solve any erring problems moving forward.
"I think maaayos naman 'to sa next game namin sa Saturday."
The Cargo Movers will next take on the PLDT High Speed Hitters, also at the PhilSports Arena, in a crucial affair between two teams coming off losses.
