PLDT High Speed Hitters' Jessey de Leon is making an impact even outside volleyball.
This was proven on Monday when De Leon posted a private message to her by a certain fan, who was apparently inspired to take up architecture because of her.
The former UST Golden Tigress passed the board exams for architecture in 2018.
“For the first time in my life, I feel hopeful and excited about the future, and it is all because of you and your amazing designs,” the fan said.
“You were a big reason why I decided to enrol in this programme (architecture), and although I’m still just starting out and have a lot to learn, I’m glad that I found people like you who have driven me.”

The message warmed De Leon’s heart.
“Didn’t expect to still be of help to this day. Akala ko 2011-2016 lang ‘yun. It warms my heart to know that I am still able to inspire through my platform,” she said.
De Leon posts her designs on her other Instagram account, JDL Architecture & Design (@designbyjessey). She even had projects for fellow volleyball players Kim Kianna Dy and Melissa Gohing.
De Leon is enjoying some downtime after the PVL Invitational Conference, which visiting team Kurashiki Ablaze lorded over. She even had a trip to Bali Indonesia with actress Kathryn Bernardo and Gilas Women Trina Guytingco.
