While the PVL is on a season break, the league’s brightest stars have been making the most out of their time away from intense volleyball competition. Alyssa Valdez of the Creamline Cool Smashers has been hanging out with basketball legends in the FIBA World Cup. Cignal HD Spikers stalwart Rachel Anne Daquis on the other hand, is keeping herself busy with her eponymous skills development program.
As for F2 Logistics Cargo Movers star Ivy Lacsina, she chose to recharge for the season-ending tournament out on the beach. On Sunday, the talented volleybelle shared a couple of photos of her, looking like a model in a Sports Illustrated swimsuit issue.
Of course, an avalanche of compliments poured down on her Instagram post. One comment, however, had a different tone and it came from her partner Deanna Wong. Instead of praising Lacsina, Boss D had the perfect quip for the converted outside hitter’s fiery IG entry.
“Nagpaalam ka?” The Choco Mucho Flying Titans playmaker asked.
Wong’s masterfully executed one-liner sent the netizens into a frenzy.
Myla Pablo, meanwhile, made sure to send nothing but admiration towards her teammate.
“Hindi po kami lalaban,” Pablo commented.
At the moment, Wong and Lacsina can afford to chill out and poke fun at each other. But as soon as the training camp for the PVL’s season finale intensifies, expect the two to refocus and set their eyes on the prize. In the Invitational Conference, the Cargo Movers finished fourth while the Flying Titans ended up at seventh place.
In the upcoming All-Filipino affair, bank on the two clubs to give it their all as they gun for a podium finish.
