The Choco Mucho Flying Titans have stretched their win streak to five after sweeping the Akari Chargers, 25-23, 25-21, 25-19, on Saturday at the PhilSports Arena in Pasig City.

The Flying Titans held off every push made by the Chargers throughout the match to clinch the victory.

At 5-1, Choco Mucho is tied for second in the standings, inching closer to its semifinal goal this conference. Under coach Dante Alinsunurin, the Flying Titans have yet to advance to the semifinals after the first two conferences of the season.

"Masaya kami na nangyayari sa amin 'to kasi noong first conference, second conference, hindi namin alam kung paano kami manalo. Ngayon, andito na kami. Sana nga magtuloy-tuloy na," Alinsunurin said during the postgame press conference.

"Kung ano man 'yung goal namin this conference, makuha na namin. Basta ang importante lang, mag-continue lang kami, magtulungan kami ng team kung paano manalo every game," he added.

Four players scored in double-digits for Choco Mucho as Isa Molde and Maddie Madayag led the way with 13 points apiece. Sisi Rondina and Kat Tolentino, meanwhile, fired 11 markers each in the victory.

With a semis berth close in sight, Rondina said that the Flying Titans aren’t letting go of this opportunity.

“For me, ilagay lang talaga sa isipan namin na nasa laro kami, nasa liga. Kumbaga mindset namin tatatrabhuin namin and mag-trabaho kami. Lagi namin tatandaan 'di pangkaraniwang liga, kailangan ibuhos namin every game,” said Rondina.

The Flying Titans will look to extend their win streak to six as they face the Petro Gazz Angels on Thursday at the FilOil EcoOil Centre. Meanwhile, the Chargers will face the Nxled Chameleons on Tuesday at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.
