The Chargers finally got some rest and relaxation.
The Akari Chargers proved yet again that they can compete against the best teams in the league following their 5-6 performance in the PVL Second All-Filipino Conference.
A few set wins could have even pushed Akari to make a run for the semifinals.
But with their campaign over, it’s relaxation—or should we say recharge time for the Chargers.
In an Instagram post, Faith Nisperos shared some clips of the Chargers’ time in La Union.
“Chargers recharging by the beach,” wrote Nisperos, and that caption pretty much encapsulated their team vacation.
In the video, Nisperos can be seen alongside her “study buddy” Fifi Sharma, as well as one of her newest teammates in Justine Jazareno.
Aside from Sharma and Jazareno, Michelle Cobb, Bang Pineda, and Dindin Santiago-Manabat were also part of the trip.
It’s safe to say that the Chargers had an absolute blast surfing, eating, and drinking local coffee in La Union.
Of course, it’s back to work as well for the recharged Chargest as they look to further improve their seventh-place finish last conference.
Maybe next time around, the Chargers can finally secure a spot in the semifinals.
With this renewed chemistry within the team as well as the firepower they have, it’s more than possible they can make that elusive run to the playoffs next conference.
And it certainly helps that Nisperos and company are all charged up for next season.
