Aby Maraño has long dreamed of playing together with Mylene Paat in the professional circuit. They've competed together for a while, wearing the same Philippine jersey for the women's national volleyball team.
"Siya ang partner in crime ko. Siya ang sister ko from another mother. 🤗 We are friends by heart and sisters by soul. Edi soul sister? Tama yorn? Tama! Okay? Okay! 😅" Maraño posted in a birthday greeting for Paat back in 2022.
In the 2024 PVL season, the best friends will finally get to play together for one professional team, the Chery Tiggo Crossovers. #PaaTyang is real.
"Dati pa talaga excited na kong makalaro si Mylene," Maraño said on Saturday during an interview on One PH's Power & Play.
"Eto na yung chance na 'yun."
The longtime captain of the now-disbanded F2 Logistics Cargo Movers says she's also excited to play with the Chery Tiggo rookies.
Who can forget this five set-thriller back in November?
"Natuwa ako sa team na 'to ng Chery before kasi composed ng mga bata pero palaban. So na-excite ako. Palaban din ako, perfect. Magma-match 'yung energy ko sa energy ng team na 'to," Tyang added.
"Kung nakikita ng mga tao kung paano ako mag-swag, ine-enjoy 'yung mga point, mas lalo 'yung rampa ni Tyang lalo kasama mga batang 'to. Swaggy din 'to."
Outside hitter Ara Galang previous admitted she is welcoming the challenge of playing with a completely new team, after years of familiarity running through the DLSU Lady Spikers and the F2 Logistics Cargo Movers.
But there's definitely one Crossover she's excited to go toe-to-toe with.
"Si Eya (Laure)," Galang told Noli Eala in the same interview. "Parang nakikita ko siya sa akin, pero mas expressive lang siya."
"Palaban na player kasi siya. Ako ganun din. Gusto ko all-out ako, bibigay ko lahat ko. Ganun din nakikita ko sa character niya."
Eya Laure has always delivered on the fierceness while on the court.
Imagine all the swagfest with this Eya-Ara-Aby-Mylene combo in this upcoming season.
