For the second-straight game in the PVL Reinforced Conference, it's a new career-high for Creamine star Bernadeth Pons.
Here comes Creamline.
The Cool Smashers are officially on a roll in the 2024 PVL Reinforced Conference, surviving the Galeries Tower Highrisers in four tough sets, 27-25, 26-28, 29-27, 25-18, Saturday at the PhilSports Arena.
After an opening-game stumble, Creamline has now won three straight to jump right into second place in the Group A standings with a 3-1 mark.
Challenged by the Highrisers, the Cool Smashers leaned on their new 1-2 power combo for the Reinforced Conference to take the hard-earned victory.
Import Erica Staunton led the way with 29 points, firing 25 attacks and three blocks.
Meanwhile, Bernadeth Pons set a new PVL career-high for a second-straight game, finishing with 26 points. The new mark eclipsed her previous high of 25, set last game in a win against Chery Tiggo.
Chuewulim Sutadta paced Galeries Tower with 23 points, but the Highrisers continue to search for their first win as they drop to 0-4.
