The Premier Volleyball League (PVL) postpones the 2024 Reinforced Conference semifinals matches, slated this Thursday, August 29, at the Philsports Arena in Pasig City.

Instead, the game between the Akari Chargers and the PLDT High Speed Hitters and that of the Cignal HD Spikers and the Creamline Cool Smashers will be held on August 31 at the SM Mall of Asia Arena.

The PVL explained the postponement was required because of a power outage in the area, caused by the continuous downpour over the past few days.

"The adverse weather conditions led to significant damage to several Meralco power posts supplying electricity to the Philsports Arena, rendering the facility inoperable for the event," the league explained.

Meanwhile, the 2024 Reinforced Conference Final will take place on Monday, September 2, at the Smart Araneta Coliseum in Quezon City.

All purchased tickets for the original date will be automatically refunded. The refund amount will be credited back to the original payment method, whether it be a bank account, card, or e-wallet.

"The PVL sincerely apologizes for any inconvenience this change may cause and appreciates the understanding and patience of everyone affected," the league said in a statement.

"The league is dedicated to maintaining a secure and enjoyable environment for our events and is working diligently to ensure a smooth transition to the new venue and date."
