The Chery Tiggo Crossovers improve to a 2-1 record after blasting past the Nxled Chameleons in straight sets.
Chery Tiggo is back in the win column after crushing Nxled in straight sets, 26-24, 25-15, 25-18, at the PhilSports Arena in Pasig on Tuesday, Nov. 26.
The Crossovers bounced back from its four-set loss against the Cignal HD Spikers last Thursday for a 2-1 record, while the Chameleons remain winless at 0-3.
In the third set, Chery Tiggo pulled away early on after a 12-4 start capped off by Cza Carandang’s powerful attack in the middle.
With all the momentum on their side, the Crossovers reached its biggest lead at 20-9 after Chiara Permentilla’s back-row attack went wide.
Nxled would mount a small comeback, trimming the deficit to just five points at 18-23, but Mary Rhose Dapol and Cess Robles would close the game out and secure the victory for Chery Tiggo.
Robles powered the Crossovers with 15 points built on 14 attacks and one block.
Chery Tiggo will go for back-to-back wins against the undefeated PLDT High Speed Hitters on Tuesday, Dec. 3 at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.
Nxled, on the other hand, battles the Capital1 Solar Spikers for their first win in the conference on Saturday, Nov. 30 still at PhilSports.
