The Petro Gazz Angels dominated the Capital1 Solar Spikers for a straight-sets victory, 25-19, 25-18, 25-9, to nab their 7th straight win in the 2024-25 PVL All-Filipino Conference.
The Petro Gazz Angels ride on their winning momentum to secure their seventh straight win after sweeping the Capital1 Solar Spikers, 25-19, 25-18, 25-9, in the 2024-25 PVL All-Filipino Conference at the PhilSports Arena in Pasig on Tuesday, February 11.
The victory pushed the Angels to the top spot with an 8-1 record and 23 points ahead of the unbeaten Creamline Cool Smashers, who have a match later in the evening.
Dominant all game long, Petro Gazz pulled away early in the third set after an 11-2 start which was capped off by Myla Pablo’s cross-court kill.
Capital1 tried to mount a comeback led by Heather Guino-o and Des Clemente-De Guzman, cutting the lead to six points.
But in the end, the Koji Tsuzurabara-led squad proved too much as Brooke Van Sickle delivered the commanding win with a service ace.
Myla Pablo was hailed the Player of the Game with 14 points on 11 attacks, two blocks, and one service ace.
The Angels will go for its eighth consecutive victory against the Galeries Tower Highrisers on Saturday, February 15.
