The Creamline Cool Smashers remain unbeaten in the 2024-25 PVL All-Filipino Conference after sweeping the Farm Fresh Foxies.
The Creamline Cool Smashers notched another clean victory in the 2024-25 PVL All-Filipino Conference after taking down the Farm Fresh Foxies, 25-15, 25-19, 27-25, at the PhilSports Arena in Pasig on Tuesday, February 11.
Improving to 9-0 for the conference, this is also the Cool Smashers’ 19th straight victory which ties the second-longest winning streak in the league—also owned by Creamline.
In the third set, the Grand Slam squad found themselves on the back foot against the Foxies, who were trying to extend the match.
Down 16-14, the Cool Smashers went on a 5-2 run to take the lead once more courtesy of Tots Carlos’ cross-court attack. Farm Fresh, however, managed to put up a fight later in the frame, even regaining the lead at 22-21.
Tied at 23-all, Jema Galanza brought Creamline to match point after a combination play but in the following sequence, the Cool Smashers failed to send the ball over, leading to an extended set.
After three points, Galanza would ultimately seal the win for the defending champs after back-to-back points—the last one coming as a service ace.
The reigning PVL All-Filipino Finals MVP finished with 15 points on 12 attacks, one block, and two service aces.
The Cool Smashers will just have a three-day break as they next face the PLDT High Speed Hitters at the Ynares Center in Antipolo on Saturday, February 15.
