The Philippines will host the inaugural AVC Women’s Champions League, which will feature Asia’s top teams competing against one another from April 20 to 27.
The Philippines is set to welcome Asia’s top volleyball clubs, as the country has been confirmed as the host of the AVC Women’s Champions League.
The regional tournament will run from April 20 to 27 under the organization of the Premier Volleyball League (PVL) and the Philippine National Volleyball Federation (PNVF).
The AVC Champions League is a rebranded version of the Asian Club Championships, introduced by AVC President Ramon ‘Tats’ Suzara in partnership with Volleyball World.

The tournament aims to reshape the perception of Asian volleyball, engage a wider audience, and open more sponsorship opportunities, all while maintaining a high level of competition.
The women’s event in the Philippines and the men’s event in Japan (May 11-18) will each feature a maximum of 12 teams across Asia’s five zones.
The teams will battle for a shared $50,000 prize pool and two coveted spots in the 2025 FIVB Club World Championships.
Suzara expressed excitement over the rebrand, emphasizing its role in boosting volleyball’s growth in the region.
“With the launch of the AVC Champions League, we have reached a new milestone in the development of volleyball in Asia. This tournament will bring more challenges, thrills, and opportunities for both players and fans,” Suzara said in an AVC release.
Each host country is allowed to field two teams, with the 12 participating squads divided into four groups of three. The official drawing of lots is set for March 12 at the AVC Headquarters in Thailand, followed by a press conference.
As teams gear up for this highly anticipated tournament, excitement continues to build among Filipino volleyball fans eager to witness top-tier competition on Asian soil.
