Savi Davison embraced the thrill and challenge of playing in front of the passionate Iloilo crowd, as the PLDT High Speed Hitters secured a top-four finish in the 2024-25 PVL All-Filipino Conference.

Following the High Speed Hitters dominant sweep of the ZUS Coffee Thunderbelles, 25-20, 25-16, 25-15, at the City of Passi Arena, Davison reflected on the unique energy of playing in Iloilo, a city that last hosted the PVL in 2023.

"Exciting but stressful kasi you're not used to the atmosphere, the crowd," Davison told reporters after the match. "But this is a privilege to bring the PVL to other provinces and allow other people in the PVL to experience Iloilo or wherever we go, so just happy to be here and to be part of the opportunity."

The Fil-Canadian spiker led the charge for PLDT, delivering 17 points built on 14 attacks and three blocks. More than her individual performance, Davison recognized the importance of staying sharp heading into the playoffs.

"I think we're very happy with the outcome pero we always think that we could have done better," she said as PLDT locked in an 8-3 record, good for the fourth seed. "Once we get in the playoffs, we have to tune it up to make sure that whatever we crossover with, we are able to handle."

Her teammate Kath Arado also shared her thoughts on the Iloilo leg, emphasizing how the enthusiastic support from the fans created an electric playing environment.

"Nakakapagod actually pero masaya sa feeling kasi 'yung ganitong crowd talagang ang sarap maglaro," Arado said. "Hindi lang isang team or dalawang team [ang sinusuportahan], talagang lahat ng teams sinusuportahan nila so sobrang saya talaga."

With the postseason looming, Davison made it clear that PLDT remains focused and refuses to be complacent.

"We don't want to be comfortable kasi when we get comfortable, there's teams that can take over," she stressed. "So we just don't want to give them the opportunity to do so."

Now heading into the qualifying round, the High Speed Hitters look to carry their momentum forward against the Thunderbelles once more, ensuring they’re at their best when it matters most.
