The Creamline Cool Smashers and Petro Gazz Angels will represent the Philippines in the upcoming AVC Women's Champions League from April 20-27, with both teams allowed up to three imports.
The Creamline Cool Smashers and Petro Gazz Angels will represent the Philippines in the upcoming AVC Champions League, set to take place from April 20 to 27 at the PhilSports Arena in Pasig City.
PNVF Vice President and PVL President Ricky Palou confirmed the selection, explaining that the decision was made based on the teams' standings after the PVL All-Filipino Conference's preliminary round.
Initially, the winner of the 2024-25 PVL All-Filipino Conference would represent the Philippines in the tournament. As hosts, the country was granted one more slot as well.
“AVC called us and said that they need to know the teams right away kasi mag-drawing of lots sa March 12, so we cannot wait until the end of the tournament,” Palou told reporters.
“We talked to the teams, and we decided that the top two after the elimination round will represent the Philippines—so that’s Creamline and Petro Gazz.”

Both squads have the option to reinforce their rosters with up to three imports.
While it remains uncertain whether Creamline will tap additional foreign players, Petro Gazz already has two players classified as imports—MJ Phillips and Brooke Van Sickle—who are registered under USA Volleyball.
The Angels are still eligible to add one more import if they choose.
The AVC Champions League will feature some of Asia’s top clubs, with Japan, South Korea, Vietnam, Thailand, and the Philippines already pre-qualified for the competition.
