The Philippines has secured a third slot in the AVC Women's Champions League, with PLDT High Speed Hitters joining Creamline and Petro Gazz in the tournament set from April 20 to 27.
The Philippines will now have three representatives in the inaugural AVC Women's Champions League, as the Asian Volleyball Confederation (AVC) has awarded the country an additional slot in the inaugural tournament.
That means the PLDT High Speed Hitters are set to join the Creamline Cool Smashers and the Petro Gazz Angels in the continental competition, which will take place from April 20 to 27, 2025, at the PhilSports Arena in Pasig City.

PLDT earned the slot after finishing fourth in the ongoing 2024-25 PVL All-Filipino Conference, where they secured a quarterfinal berth.
The Cignal HD Spikers, who finished third in the preliminaries, are at a precarious position in the PVL--as they were stunned by the tenth seed Galeries Tower Highrisers in the qualifying round. They are now in danger of elimination after losing to the ZUS Coffee Thunderbelles in the play-in.
Also confirmed for the AVC are Thailand’s Nakhon Ratchasima QminC and Vietnam’s VTV Bình Ðien Long An, with more teams expected to be announced in the coming weeks.
