The Choco Mucho Flying Titans came in clutch to defeat the PLDT High Speed Hitters in a five-set thriller in Game 1 of the 2024-25 PVL All-Filipino Conference quarterfinals.
Choco Mucho asserted its mastery over PLDT as it came through with a pulsating reverse sweep, 20-25, 19-25, 25-15, 25-20, 18-16, in Game 1 of the 2024-25 PVL All-Filipino Conference quarterfinals at the PhilSports Arena in Pasig on Saturday, March 15.
The Flying Titans are now just one win away from advancing to the round-robin penultimate round.
Tied at 6-all in the fifth frame, Choco Mucho gave themselves some breathing room behind a 3-0 run capped off by Sisi Rondina’s cross-court kill.
With momentum on their side, the Flying Titans pushed ahead, 12-8, with Rondina once again delivering the spikes that ignited the jam-packed crowd.

But the High Speed Hitters would not give up, rallying behind Savi Davison to tie the game at 14-all.
With the score tied once more at 16-all, Dell Palomata made a crucial error as her serve went wide. Choco Mucho then capitalized as Rondina finished the game off with an off-the-block hit.

Mars Alba orchestrated the Flying Titans’ comeback with 16 excellent sets she topped with three points.
Game 2 is set on Thursday, March 20, still at the same venue.
