The Choco Mucho Flying Titans showed their 'Never Say Die' spirit as they outlasted the PLDT High Speed Hitters in five sets in Game 2 of the 2024-25 PVL All-Filipino Conference quarterfinals.
The Choco Mucho Flying Titans will be the first team to advance to the semifinals after knocking out the PLDT High Speed Hitters in five sets, 25-15, 12-25, 25-23, 21-25, 15-13, in Game 2 of the 2024-25 PVL All-Filipino Conference quarterfinals at the PhilSports Arena in Pasig on Thursday, March 20.
The Flying Titans remain undefeated in five-setters this conference with a 6-0 record.
In the fifth set, Savi Davison willed PLDT to an early 5-1 lead, scoring all of the team’s points.
However, Choco Mucho would not go away that easily, retaking the lead at 6-5 after Sisi Rondina’s service ace.
Both teams would continue to exchange attacks as neither the Flying Titans nor the High Speed Hitters gave an inch.
Tied at 11-all, back-to-back errors by Kim Fajardo and Kianna Dy gave Choco Mucho a crucial two-point lead, which was quickly erased by Davison.
Mars Alba’s cut shot put the Flying Titans at match point before Rondina put away the match with a cross-court kill.
Alba was hailed the Player of the Game with 22 excellent sets and seven points.
