One-time PVL Best Libero Alyssa Eroa has left the Galeries Tower Highrisers on the heels of a breakthrough campaign in the 2024-25 PVL All-Filipino Conference, the team announced on social media on Monday.

Eroa, who skippered the Highrisers during her one-year tenure, helped the team with her incredible defense and unmovable grit. She anchored Galeries Tower to its first-ever appearance in the PVL playoffs, following a successful upset of the Cignal HD Spikers in the qualifying round.

The 28-year-old played her final games with Galeries Tower in a two-game series in the quarterfinals against the Akari Chargers. Despite being eliminated, Eroa’s Highrisers were able to push Akari to five sets in both games.

“Thank you for the heart and dedication you poured into our team. See you on the other side of the court, Ly,” the team wrote on social media.

Eroa began her journey with Galeries Tower in the 2024 Open Conference, where she had just come from a successful stint with Marikina in the Maharlika Pilipinas Volleyball Association.

It was a struggle then for Eroa and the Highrisers, as they were perennial cellar dwellers in her first two conferences with the team.

But in the 2024 Reinforced Conference, the 4-foot-11 defensive specialist hit a personal milestone when she nabbed the Best Libero award.

In her final tournament for the Lerma Giron-coached team, they finished at 8th place — their highest ever in franchise history since joining the league in 2023.

At the moment, there’s no confirmation where Eroa is expected to head next.
