The Cargo Movers didn’t show any rust after a long layoff and seized a share of the lead with Creamline.
Slowly but surely, F2 Logistics Cargo Mover Ara Galang is regaining her confidence.
And no one is happier than coach Regine Diego.
“I think paunti-unti (nababalik confidence) is good kasi hindi masyadong nabibigla yung katawan niya,” Diego said of the former UAAP MVP.
Galang has averaged 7.5 points in the last two games in the Premier Volleyball League All-Filipino Conference. In their 25-23, 25-20, 25-23 win over Cignal HD Spikers on Saturday, she contributed 7 points including 2 blocks.
This was a good sign for the Cargo Movers, who have grabbed a share of the lead atop the heap with Creamline Cool Smashers with identical 4-1 win-loss records.
But while she wants to see Galang break out in the All-Filipino Conference, Diego isn’t rushing anything.
The amiable mentor is trusting Galang’s pace. But Diego is also hopeful she could do it this conference with F2 Logistics aiming to go deep in the playoffs.
“I’m patiently waiting na maging okay siya. I trust her na she’s going to be at her peak eventually. Maybe this conference, maybe next, I don’t know. But I still trust how she handles herself and the team,” she said.
“Yung may experience is different pa rin tsaka yung may leadership. Let’s see. Unti-unti. But I’m hopeful na makuha niya peak niya this conference.”
F2 Logistics is two wins away from being assured a semifinals berth. And with Galang getting her groove little by little, things are looking up for the Cargo Movers.
