UE taps Jerry Yee as coach: ‘His leadership will steer UE in new direction’

It looks like the UE Lady Warriors are hell-bent on restoring their glory days with a couple of big moves in the offseason.

And the most important one was the appointment of Jerry Yee as their new coach.

“Our aim is to restore the glory days of the Red Warriors. We are excited to contribute to the development of young basketball and volleyball players, helping them gradually achieve their dreams,” said new team manager Jared Lao, son of sports patron Frank.

Yee replaced Ronwald Dimaculangan, who will now call the shots for the men’s team.

Lao said there’s no doubt Yee, who concurrently handles new PVL team Farm Fresh Foxies, will prop up UE’s sagging fortunes in the UAAP volleyball competition.

“It is a privilege to have Coach Jerry as our head coach. Coach Jerry’s reputation and experience in the field of volleyball are well known,” Lao said of the seasoned mentor, who led Adamson Lady Falcons to the Final Four in Season 85 before calling it quits.

“With his extensive knowledge and expertise, there is no doubt that his leadership will steer the team in a new direction.”
