The Adamson Soaring Falcons bagged its first win in UAAP Season 86 after a thrilling overtime victory over the UST Growling Tigers, 79-76, at the Mall of Asia Arena.
It took five extra minutes for the Soaring Falcons to snatch the hard-fought victory.
But it goes without saying that the Growling Tigers clawed their way back every time that Adamson looked like they were pulling away in the match.
Joem Sabandal proved to be the late-game hero for Adamson as he finished with nine points, four rebounds, and six assists.
With the win, Adamson moves to 1-1 in the standings, while UST is now 0-2 for the season.
This match proved to be just the kick the UAAP needed to jumpstart the season as fans went crazy over the match on social media.
Over on X, formerly Twitter, netizens were buzzing about the nerve-wracking moments throughout the game.

It’s also safe to say that both UST and Adamson supporters were at the edge of their seats while watching the game unfold.
