La Salle's two leaders finally bring home the gold.
The two leaders of the De La Salle Green Archers finally achieved the one accolade that has seemingly avoided their careers.
Coach Topex Robinson and Evan Nelle made sure to put an end to all of their doubters after leading La Salle to its first championship in seven years.
Having Robinson as his coach was seemingly the perfect fit for Nelle. The same way goes for Robinsons, who had a front-court general like Nelle.
As they celebrated their UAAP championship, Nelle couldn’t hide his joy playing for coach Topex.
"He (Topex) made it the best year of playing,” Nelle said during the post-game press conference. “It was so much fun playing under him.”
But for the former San Beda Red Lion, it wasn’t all “sunshine and rainbows” under Robinson—and yet somehow, they understood what it took to bring home the title to Taft Avenue.
“We bicker a lot. We don't see eye-to-eye a lot of times, but it's just the competitive nature in us,” said Nelle.
“It was always fun because like he's competitive, I'm competitive and come to the court, he would get mad at me, I would get mad at him, but at the end of the day, we have each other's back,” he added.

As Nelle departs from the Green Archers, he made sure to end his UAAP career, fulfilling a goal of his—to give coach Topex his long-awaited title.
“My hats off coach and you’re welcome, champ,” said Nelle.
