Will Rookie of the Year Angge Poyos play in Game 2 of the UAAP Season 86 Finals?
Amid the uncertainty of her playing status for Game 2 of the UAAP Season 86 women's volleyball Finals, Angge Poyos was seen warming up for the University of Santo Tomas prior to first serve inside the Mall of Asia Arena on Wednesday, May 15.
While warming up, Poyos, who was named Season 86 Rookie of the Year earlier in the afternoon, was wearing an ankle brace but joined in the drills of the Golden Tigresses.
The 20-year-old outside hitter twisted her right ankle in the second set of Game 1 last May 11, where National University went on to cruise to a straight-set victory.
Poyos and the rest of the Golden Tigresses will look to force a winner-take-all match against the Lady Bulldogs.
Angge is a true game-time decision for the Golden Tigresses. However, UST's official student publication in The Varsitarian reported that the star rookie will sit out Game 2.
