Some familiar faces joined the Ateneo basketball squad's practice.
On the heels of its loss to UP in the UAAP men’s basketball finale, Ateneo tapped some reinforcements.
Enter BEBOB.
Some members of the “Blue Eagles Band of Brothers” joined the team’s practice Monday.
Ateneo head coach Tab Baldwin posted a photo on Facebook with Isaac Go, Matt and Mike Nieto, Will Navarro, and others who won a chip with the revered tactician in the past.
“How incredibly blessed my team and I were to have these BEBOB Champion join us at practice tonight to share their wonderful insights in the Finals experience. I’m so humbled by their love for our program and our university,” Baldwin said.
Coming in as “underdogs” against the defending champions, the Blue Eagles really need all the help they can get to level the best-of-three series, and avoid going home.
They can only hope this visit from these Ateneo greats can conjure some magic as the Blue Eagles tackle the Fighting Maroons anew in Game 2 on Wednesday.
