BOOM Esports started strong against powerhouse Team Falcons but eventually lost in three games in the FISSURE Universe Episode 4 Dota 2 Tournament.
Despite a convincing Game 1, which saw Armel "Armel" Tabios dominate team fights with Leshrac along with Souliya "JaCkky" Khoomphetsavong's Phantom Assassin at position 1, BOOM was outdrafted in the next two games.
Ammar "ATF" Al-Assaf's Bristleback in the offlane in Game 2 and Stanislav "Malr1ne" Potorak's Sand King in the mid lane in Game 3 did the most damage and disruption against BOOM.
With a 2-3 group stage record, BOOM Esports bows out of the tournament playoffs.
Before this series, Boom Esports won against North America's Wildcard and Russian-based team BetBoom while sustaining two losses from two-time The International (TI) champion Team Spirit and Serbian eSports team PARIVISION.
Fellow Southeast Asian team Talon Esports has also been eliminated with a 1-3 record.
