PLDT flexed its might against the Queensland Pirates to secure a clean sweep, 25-19, 25-12, 25-12, in the 2025 AVC Women’s Champions League at the PhilSports Arena in Pasig Sunday, April 20.

The High Speed Hitters, who were granted a spot in the tournament late in the 2024-25 PVL All-Filipino Conference, made quick work of the Australian Volleyball Super League champion for a winning start in Pool D.

Dominant from the get-go to secure a 2-0 set edge, PLDT did not lift its foot from the gas pedal as it zoomed to a 9-1 start in the third set.

Mika Reyes' quick attack from the middle capped that run, and the High Speed Hitters went on to complete the commanding victory.

Savi Davison powered her squad with 14 points, while import Wilma Salas and Reyes added 11 and 10 markers, respectively.

PLDT will face Thailand's Nakhon Ratchasima QminC on Tuesday, April 22.
