For the first time in her career in Japan, Jaja Santiago will play for the V.League Women’s Division 1 championship.

This after her top-ranked JT Marvelous beat her former team Saitama Ageo Medics in the semifinals of the V.Final Stage Sunday.

JT Marvelous scored a four-set victory: 25-16, 23-25, 25-20, 25-20, keeping their perfect season alive. Jaja Santiago finished with 14 points, built off of 11 attacks and three blocks.

In the Finals, JT Marvelous will stake their 23-0 record in a one-game knockout against defending champion NEC Red Rockets.

Led by national team star Sarina Koga, the Red Rockets made short work of the Toyota Auto Body Queenseis in a sweep. Toyota upset no. 3 Hisamitsu yesterday in the quarterfinals.
