Three-time NBA MVP Nikola Jokic is one step closer to suiting up for Serbia once again, as he was named to the 16-man pool for men's basketball in the Olympic Games Paris 2024.

The country's basketball federation posted the announcement on Monday, confirming Jokic would suit up for The Eagles, who ended up as silver medalists in the 2023 FIBA World Cup.

Jokic was the MVP of the 2016 FIBA Olympic Qualifying Tournament and led Serbia in the 2022 FIBA EuroBasket. He last suited up during the FIBA Basketball World Cup 2023 European Qualifiers.

He will be joined by Bogdan Bogdanovic, a member of the All-Star Five at the 2023 FIBA World Cup.

Also returning from that silver medal squad are Aleksa Avramovic, Filip Petrusev, Nikola Jovic, Vanja Marinkovic, Ognjen Dobric, Dusan Ristic, Marko Guduric, Nikola Milutinov, and Aleksa Avramovic.

Serbia will play in Group C at the Olympics against USA, the debuting South Sudan, and the team that will win the FIBA Olympic Qualifying Tournament in San Juan, Puerto Rico.

They are ranked fourth in the world and got silver in Rio 2016. The Europeans will be competing in the Olympics for the second time.
