Levi Jung-Ruivivar, Emma Malabuyo, Aleah Finnegan, the first Filipina gymnasts to see action in the Olympics in 60 years, exited early in Paris 2024.
Levi Jung-Ruivivar, Emma Malabuyo and Aleah Finnegan did the country proud after making it to the Olympic Games Paris 2024 – a first for Filipina gymnasts in 60 years.
But they fell short in their bid to carry the Philippine flag further after tripping in the qualification round of women's artistic gymnastics at the Bercy Arena.

Jung-Ruivivar and Malabuyo actually held on to hope after posting identical 51.099 points for 28th and 29th place in all-around at the end of subdivision 3, with the Top 24 advancing given that there should only be two representatives per country.
Finnegan occupied the 33rd spot with her 50.498 tally.
But as action in subdivision 4 got underway, the trio further dipped in the rankings, with Jung-Ruivivar and Malabuyo settling for 40th and 41st, and Finnegan landing at 47th.

Jung-Ruivivar, the youngest of the trio at 18, registered 13.600 in vault, 13.200 in uneven bars, 11.866 on the balance beam and 12.433 for floor exercise.
Malabuyo collected 13.266, 12.500, 12.233 and 13.100 while Finnegan, 13.733, 12.566, 11.466, 12.733 in each of the four apparatuses, respectively.
Finnegan's vault output was good enough for 17th place while the rest of hers and her fellow Filipinas' showing went way off the mark in the Top 8 finish for the apparatus.
US sensation Simone Biles, as expected, paced the rest of the field with 59.566 points as she ruled the vault (15.300) and floor exercise (14.600). Biles was second best on the balance beam (14.733) and ninth in uneven bars (14.433).
