No regrets: Kiyomi Watanabe embodies resilience in her Olympic redemption journey
Stand strong, Kiyomi!

Standing tall and proud, Kiyomi Watanabe knows that true success isn’t just about medals but about the heart and soul invested in the pursuit.

The Filipina-Japanese judoka bows out of her Olympic Games redemption journey via ippon to world no. 22, China's Tang Jing, in the women's judo -63kg round of 32.

Her quest for redemption was marked by incredible strength, relentless dedication, and an unwavering spirit.

“I knew she was strong. I wanted to see how far I could hold out. What I’ve learned is that I’ve had a lot of support, and it's pretty tough to get to, so I have no regrets, she told One Sports’ Carlo Pamintuan.

While her quest for redemption may have reached its conclusion, her journey remains a profound testament to fighting with both heart and grace.
