Carlos Yulo wasted no time in giving the Philippines its second gold medal after ruling the vault finals in Paris 2024.
A day after securing the country's first gold in this edition of the Games in floor exercise, Yulo once again impressed in his other pet event to hike the Philippines' haul, doubling not just his historic feat but the Filipinos' pride and joy.

Yulo collected 15.433 in his first vault and 14.800 in his second for a competition-best 15.166.
The two-time world champion thus became the country's sole multiple gold medalist, hiking the Philippines' overall tally to three in the Games' history following Hidilyn Diaz's golden breakthrough in weightlifting in Tokyo 2020.

The 24-year-old opened his stunning performance with a near-perfect piked Dargulescu that had a 6.0 difficulty, earning him a whopping 15.433.
His second vault saw him go the relatively safer path with a Kasamatsu. But he slightly bent his knee on the way down for a 14.800.
Armenia's Artur Davtyan settled for silver with a score of 14.966, while Great Britain's Harry Hepwroth was not far behind with 14.949.

Fil-brit Jake Jarman, bronze medalist in the floor exercise representing Great Britain, narrowly missed the podium after tallying 14.933.
Croatia's Aurel Benovic (14.900), Ukraine's Nazar Chepurnyi (14.899), Iran's Mahdi Olfati (14.266), and Ukraine's Igor Radivilov (14.166) rounded out the eight finalists.
